Baby Tonga is a Beneteau First 53f5 – a celebrated collaboration between Bruce Farr and Pininfarina, the Italian design company behind luxury brands such as Ferrari and Maserati.
Initially created for ocean cruising, this model has also proven itself on competitive regatta circuits and as a very comfortable stay-on-board vessel. The present owner acquired the boat in 2007 in Spain, proceeded to extensively refurbish it, and continues to maintain it to high standards.
It has won top honours in the region’s famous regattas and is used by the owner and his family (two children under the age of 8), for annual sailing holidays around Langkawi and the Thai islands a few hours away. As is expected, safety equipment is of the highest standard, and you will be accompanied by an experienced skipper and one crew at all times.
Accommodation
Three fully air-conditioned cabins – one master and two guest – comfortably sleeps six.Three heads (toilets to non-sailors!) and showers.
The galley is fully-equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge; and all utensils needed to prepare meals. You can choose to either dine down below or more casually up on deck.
When you’re not indulging in cruising, swimming or island-hopping; entertainment can be found below deck. There’s a TV, DVD player – with a selection of DVDs, PlayStation and a stereo system. If you’re travelling with young children there is a box of beach toys at your disposal.
The skipper’s cabin is located at the fore of the boat.
